Manager

Washington, DC

Dylan Tureff is a manager in Raben’s Government Affairs practice area.

Before joining Raben, Dylan was a litigation and policy intern at the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, a research assistant at Verity Platforms, and a teacher and professor of English and American Sociopolitics in Bangkok, Thailand. Dylan also has extensive internship experience with Raben, Congressman Joseph Kennedy III, The Maine Youth Court, and the U.S. District Court, District of Maine.

Dylan’s passion for advocacy began in high school and greatly expanded throughout his college years. During his time at Boston College, Dylan served as the director of policy for the ANAHA+ Leadership Council, a student government organization dedicated to bettering the lives of students of color on campus and promoting inclusive and race-conscious institutional policies. Dylan also taught GED courses at the Eliot Boys Detention School, a male juvenile jail in Dorchester, Mass. Academically, Dylan researched and wrote a published senior thesis titled Securing White Votes by Incarcerating Black Bodies: The Criminalization of Blackness and the Perpetuation of a National Moral Panic in the American Carceral State.

Dylan was born in Manhattan but mainly raised in Southern Maine (although he retains all sports’ allegiances to New York). Dylan graduated Cum Laude from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and American Studies. When he’s not working, Dylan is most likely reading, watching ice hockey, camping, hiking, or listening to music.
