During the COVID-19 pandemic, Raben identified a critical gap in the U.S. response—a lack of a cohesive infrastructure for tracking disease data across demographics. In response, we launched "We Must Count," a nonpartisan health equity campaign. Bringing together influential civil rights, health, and racial equity groups, including the NAACP, PolicyLink, and UnidosUS, we advocated for comprehensive COVID-19 data disaggregation. Our coalition's impact expanded, securing record grants for Morehouse from corporations and the Federal Government. Through relentless advocacy, We Must Count remains a powerful force, ensuring accurate, inclusive data collection and maintaining relevance in the media and with key partners.
