Sidney Essex is an associate in Raben’s Government Affairs and Policy Counsel practice. He uses his passion for research and policy analysis to help his clients achieve successful outcomes.

Prior to joining Raben as a full-time associate, Sidney interned in the Government Affairs practice for a full year. During this time, he worked alongside the National Coalition on School Diversity to advance its mission of ending racial segregation in public schools.

Sidney graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Throughout his four years, he interned for Tim Ryan’s 2022 campaign for the United States Senate in Ohio and Regional Plan Association, a tri-state area nonprofit advocating for improved urban planning and regional governance. A proud Brooklynite and native New Yorker, Sidney enjoys cooking, watching movies, and exploring new cuisines and cultures in his free time.
