Aaron J. Trujillo has over 18 years of professional experience in local and national politics, the legislative and regulatory processes, strategic communications, and staff management. As a principal in Raben’s Government Affairs practice area, Aaron now helps clients navigate an ever-changing government and information landscape, guiding them towards tangible opportunities.

Throughout his time in Washington, D.C., Aaron has built a broad skill set that allows him to operate at the nexus between government, business, various political considerations, and strategic communications. Before joining Raben, Aaron worked as a senior legislative aide and deputy chief of staff on Capitol Hill, working with members of Congress, congressional staff, and key committees. He was also a political appointee to the U.S. Commerce Department, working with senior administration officials and federal agencies. Aaron was also chief of staff at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, working on national campaigns — he has worked with members of Congress, key administration officials, local elected officials, and tribal governments on issues of gravity and complexity to many different institutions, stakeholders, and industries.

Aaron has a bachelor’s degree from The University of New Mexico and a master’s degree from American University. He is originally from the small, rural community of El Rancho, NM.
