Allison
Glass
Director
Allison Glass is a director in Raben’s Strategic Communications practice area who loves to tell stories — whether they are her own or the organizations she has come to work with along her career. She believes that telling an interesting story and, more importantly, getting people to care is work. (Fun work, nonetheless.)
Allison began her career in New York, working at Ruder Finn in their smallest nonprofit division. It was there, focusing on cause-advocacy campaigns like Liz Claiborne’s Love is Not Abuse program, she learned how impactful elevating stories could be. While in New York, she started her media Rolodex and learned the hustle of long hours, client management, and wearing multiple hats with a small team. Fast-forward a few years to Austin, Texas, where INK accepted her into their high-tech portfolio. Working with clients (small and large), she grew a portfolio from launching a product at SXSW Interactive to behind the scenes of an IPO.
Allison jumped from agency life to in-house work at MapMyFitness, a small mobile app and software firm, where she led all social media and PR efforts for the growing brand. Working hand-in-hand with the C-suite team, Allison led the announcement one year later of an acquisition by Under Armour, the Baltimore giant’s first-ever for $150 million. She stayed with Under Armor for four years, managing the brand’s digital storytelling. Allison focused on creating new ways to strengthen the company’s youngest and fastest-growing category – Under Armour RUN.storytelling. In 2017, she was approached with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work for a congressional candidate in El Paso, Texas: Veronica Escobar. As finance director for the campaign team, Allison communicated broadly with constituents in the district and led events, rallies, debates, and meet and greets for the candidate.
Allison received her bachelor's degree in communications from Texas Christian University and is currently completing her master's in public policy and administration from Northwestern University. She lives in El Paso, Texas, with her husband and two children.
