Washington, DC
Brad Bauman is a principal in Raben's Strategic Communications practice, where he brings decades of experience and leadership in progressive communications, causes, and campaigns.
In 2024, Brad was one of the founders and organizers of White Dudes for Harris, which engaged and activated almost 200,000 white men on behalf of the campaign and raised $4.9 million in the early days of Vice President Harris' candidacy. One estimate of the earned media value of the White Dudes for Harris campaign executed by the all-volunteer organizers determined the value to be well over the $5,000,000 mark, given the time it was allotted in significant publications including every major TV network (Fox News, MSNBC, CNN) and major newspapers like The New York Times.
Before joining Raben, Brad was at Fireside Campaigns, where he helped grow the company from a three-person operation to a full-service communications shop with more than 70 employees within four years. He previously served as executive director of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, where he oversaw the caucus' legislative, communications, and political operations for over 80 members of Congress. Brad also served as communications director for various House members and multiple Congressional campaigns, including Congressman Tim Ryan and Congresswoman Mary Jo Kilroy.
Brad has developed communications and PR strategies for electoral and issue campaigns at every level. He’s worked as a senior advisor for several Presidential campaigns, party committees, large progressive organizations, independent expenditure campaigns, labor unions, resistance groups, and issue advocacy organizations. Brad worked on some of the most challenging crisis communications issues of the Trump era and is a trusted voice among Democratic operatives.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida International University and a master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University.
